No, you don’t need to have previous experience working as a virtual assistant or virtual professional. Yet, it is a requirement that you have the experience and skills required to do the job you will be performing as a virtual assistant. This could be admin, marketing, design, writing, web design, SEO, and anything related to the job you want to perform.
