Tips & How To's

As a business owner, you are likely aware of the importance of social media in targeting the idea05l clients. It may also be the case that you are unable to dedicate the necessary time and resources to execute an effective social media strategy to benefit your business. A social media virtual assistant may be the resource you need to build an effective social media strategy or to help grow the one you already have in place.

How to Create a Social Media Strategy

  • Set goals based on your unique business needs. It is important to understand your reasons for using social media. Are you interested in building an online community or dedicated followers for your brand? Is your goal to use your accounts to drive revenue towards your business? Having the answers to these questions can help you streamline your strategy.
  • Determine your target audience, and research their buying habits. Knowing which social media platforms are most popular with the demographic you are targeting can help you put resources where they achieve the highest ROI.
  • Know your metrics. Social media strategy is all about data. Understanding social media metrics such as reach, clicks, hashtags, organic and paid likes, and engagement numbers helps you to determine your strategy’s impact on your goals.
  • Create engaging content. Knowing the right type of content to include in your social media management will go a long way in determining its success. Short-form videos and time-sensitive posts that highlight your human side will improve user interactions.
  • Make your social media posts timely. It is important to be active on your social media platforms when your customers are likely to engage in them. This includes answering questions or responding to check-ins and shoutouts as soon as possible.
  • Assess your social media strategy to see what is and isn’t working. Assessing and analyzing data should be an ongoing part of your business strategy. Staying up to date on changes in analytics and consumer behavior is necessary to meet the demands of the market.

Growing and Monitoring Your Social Media Channels With a VA

As you can see, growing and monitoring your social media accounts is a full-time business. If you do not have the knowledge or the time to allocate to fully developing your social media presence, you could be missing out on a very valuable marketing tool. A virtual assistant can help with the daily monitoring of your social media platforms to keep your social media strategy working to benefit your business. Virtual assistants can easily handle low-level social media tasks such as responding to messages, engaging with followers providing a timely response during peak user times, and other types of social media outreach.

Perks of Hiring a Social Media Virtual Assistant

You can also hire virtual assistants with more specialized experience in social media marketing to handle more involved social media market tasks. Using a virtual assistant for social media marketing can provide the experience you may be missing and offer additional insight into marketing strategies that can help grow your business and improve your brand recognition. Choosing a mid-level or expert-level social media virtual assistant that has more extensive experience in Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin, Tik Tok, etc provides you with expert-level talent that can help you identify your target market and execute the strategy to drive potential customers to your business. An experienced social media VA can free up your time, and allow you to concentrate on running your business, while they handle your social media presence.

Which Tasks Can You Delegate to Your Social Media Virtual Assistant?

A virtual social media assistant has the skillset to handle a wide variety of mid-level social media tasks. The following are just a few of the ways a virtual social media assistant can help to streamline your social media marketing strategy:

  • Create engaging social media content for every channel
  • Develop and maintain a social media calendar

Smart Hiring: How to Reduce Recruitment Costs Without Sacrificing Quality

Tips & How To's

Consider this scenario: As a business owner, you just finished a grueling three-month hiring process – placing ads on numerous hiring platforms, sifting through dozens of applications, phone, and in-person interviews, onboarding, and training. Now, two weeks in, you find out the new hire isn’t a good match for your company. They are leaving, and you are once again sifting through applications and hoping that this next hire will be the one that works out.

A company’s recruitment process is an important component of doing business. Yet, it is often a process that managers dread, due to the time it requires, the numerous unqualified candidates, and the high employee turnover rates that come with an ineffective hiring process. Hiring and training new team members for your business is time-consuming and a financial burden that does not always provide the ROI that you expect. Smart hiring practices can help you identify the ideal candidate for the position, streamline the recruiting process and reduce the recruitment cost.

What Is Smart Hiring?

Smart hiring allows you to find the best talent for your company while reducing your recruitment costs. The following smart hiring practices can help improve your talent acquisition process:

  • Make hiring a proactive process. By actively recruiting the best candidates for your company, rather than rushing to fill a position, you are more likely to find a long-term hire that fits your company goals and culture.
  • Thoroughly screen all potential hires. Be sure to take into account a candidate’s personality, experience, job history, and personal background information. Consider doing personality tests, along with credit and background checks and drug testing.
  • Be on the lookout for red flags. Pay attention to issues such as frequent job changes, vague responses to past job exits, not being familiar with your company, being late for the interview, inappropriate attire, bad attitude, complaining about past work experiences, and not being prepared for the interview. Also, be aware that candidates that are over-eager and positive may not continue to exhibit those same traits once employed.
  • Improve your job listing practices. In addition to job responsibilities, post the objectives of the position to expand the candidate pool to include those who have skills from different industries that may be transferable. Consolidate the technology you use for the recruitment process.
  • Provide adequate training and mentoring for new hires. Be sure to provide all new hires with employee handbooks and communicate all objectives and expectations clearly. Remember that it can take months before new hires feel integrated and comfortable within your company.

How to Reduce Recruitment Costs

The average cost to hire a new employee can be up to $4,000, and the process can take up to 42 days. Hiring new employees is seldom an employer’s favorite task, but it is one of the most important. When executed correctly, it can save your company time and money. It can also reduce the hassles that come with the hiring process and transform it into a rewarding experience. There are several ways that you can reduce the costs associated with recruitment:

  1. Reduce turnover. Reducing recruitment costs begins with retaining the staff you currently have and reducing turnover. Establishing a work culture that is positive and welcoming goes a long way in this process. A strong training program can ensure that new hires are firmly integrated and comfortable within their roles.
  2. Reduce hire time. By reducing the time you spend on the hiring process, you can save resources, money, and time. This requires a clear picture of the skills and qualifications you want from your ideal candidate.
  3. Communicate clearly and effectively with potential candidates, and create a positive work culture.
  4. Use technology to automate hiring steps.
  5. Consider choosing a top-tier agency such as Virtual Latinos to streamline your hiring process.

What Type of Healthcare Providers Do Virtual Medical Assistants Work With?

Virtual healthcare assistants work with a wide range of healthcare providers. As the telehealth field continues to expand, more diverse virtual medical assistant opportunities will evolve with it. The following are just a few of the current healthcare partnerships available through Virtual Latinos for qualified virtual assistants.

Telehealth

The telehealth field is currently one of the fastest-growing for those interested in remote work. The industry uses telecommunication technology to deliver health-related information and services between physicians and patients, or between other healthcare providers and the patients they serve. Working in this field, you may assist in monitoring medical conditions, transmitting digital medical data or imaging information, or providing healthcare education resources, among other duties. The technology used in the field includes web cameras, smartphones, and video conferencing setups.

Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic care involves diagnosing, treating, and preventing musculoskeletal system disorders and their effects on the body’s nervous system and overall health. Chiropractic care emphasizes manual spinal adjustment and soft-tissue and joint manipulation. While a healthcare virtual assistant cannot replace the need for physical adjustments, they can assist by communicating with patients about the specifics of their symptoms, assessing patient progress, providing at-home exercises and treatment plans, and answering ongoing questions, among other patient care needs.

Nutrition

Nutritionists are experts in the field of nutrition and food. They help patients by educating them on proper dietary needs for their health goals. This includes dietary assessment, menu planning, follow-up, and progress report writing. Nutritionists work with individuals undergoing chemotherapy, have specific medical issues such as diabetes, or are simply looking to improve their health. Healthcare virtual assistant duties would focus on research, menu planning, patient follow-up, in addition to other marketing-related options.

Optometry

Optometrists dedicate themselves to treating and managing disorders and diseases of the eye through examination and diagnostics. A medical virtual assistant can help administer online eye exams for a prescription renewal, follow up on remote patient monitoring devices such as RPM sensors, video consultations, patient recordkeeping, and more.

Alternative Medicine

Alternative medicine includes therapies like acupuncture, homeopathy, Chinese medicine, Reiki, and herbalism. A medical virtual assistant in this field can assist with patient appointments, recordkeeping, follow-up, medical research, and business growth.

Dental

Dental professionals diagnose and treat diseases and issues related to oral health. The services they provide include cleanings, bite issue corrections, surgeries, and tooth extractions. A medical virtual assistant can provide help with patient intake, scheduling, insurance verification, and billing. A virtual healthcare assistant can also provide support by following up with patients after a procedure to check on progress and recovery.

Doctors in family medicine offer comprehensive care for all patients throughout each stage of life. Family practices treat a wide range of health conditions. How Delegating Your Email Management Can Benefit Work-Life Balance

Tips & How To's

Being overworked is a familiar sight these days. It’s increasingly common to see a parent ignoring children, a husband on a date with his smartphone instead of his wife, or a stressed-out millennial using their bus commute to catch up on emails. It’s no longer weird or unexpected to work through the weekend or not take time to breathe and reset. Though this seems to happen with increased frequency, the consequences of neglecting to strike a work-life balance are depressing. No matter your occupation, family situation, marital status, or age, reaching a healthy equilibrium between your job and your home life is imperative to your overall health and happiness. However, it’s often hard to find this balance when your email is constantly full of time-sensitive messages. Sometimes taking a break seems more overwhelming than simply pushing through your inbox, no matter what personal activities you have to sacrifice. If this sounds familiar, it’s probably time to hire a virtual assistant.

Ignore Your Inbox

A dedicated virtual assistant can make your life easier in many ways, but a major asset to work-life balance is their ability to manage your email inbox. With so many projects and deadlines on your plate, emails can be a less-important distraction that keeps you from getting your work done while you’re in the office. This distracted kind of productivity leaves many workers feeling overwhelmed, as they are not accomplishing their tasks efficiently. Upon leaving work, the situation can feel even worse. Though many tasks are easy to leave at the office, email is an aspect of work that follows you around. With smartphones and constant notifications, it’s hard to ignore incoming emails with time-sensitive questions or business inquiries. By hiring top virtual assistant services to handle your email inquiries and inbox, you have more free time to finish your tasks during business hours and arrive home without thoughts of unfinished business or unanswered emails.

Why Email Management?

Again, the best virtual assistants for hire will help your business in numerous ways, so why is email so important? According to Forbes, email is a major out-of-office stressor for most millennial entrepreneurs and employees. Emails that seem quick to answer or inconsequential add up quickly, causing the majority of free time to be still connected to work. Not maintaining a work-life balance is linked to chronic stress, leading to medical problems such as hypertension, digestive issues, cardiovascular issues, and poor mental health. Maintaining healthy boundaries between work and relaxing is imperative to overall health and wellbeing. Hiring a virtual assistant to manage and maintain your email eliminates one of the prime culprits of a broken work-life balance.

Personal Benefits of Hiring a Virtual Assistant

Searching for a good virtual assistant is ultimately a selfless act. Though taking advantage of virtual assistant services benefits your company, more importantly, it has widespread and profound impacts on your personal life. Depending on your lifestyle, having a personal assistant leads to benefits such as:

  • More rest and quality sleep
  • Extra time for family and friends
  • Freedom to explore hobbies
  • Deeper personal relationships
  • A stronger sense of community
  • Fewer stress-related medical conditions
  • Better mental health

If hiring a virtual personal assistant to manage your email can have such profound effects with few downsides, why wouldn’t you hire one? It is impossible to work at your full potential when you’re overstressed and overworked. Nurture your personal life, so you are better poised to perform well in your job and make advances for your company.

Why a Healthcare Virtual Assistant is Key to Patient Happiness

Hiring

After the type of year that 2020 has been, it is clear that most of us could use a little help sometimes. Nobody knows this more than our frontline healthcare workers, who have sacrificed social and family lives to care for their patients during this pandemic. The healthcare industry is fast-paced and competitive and leaves everyone involved with many tasks to complete. However, there are not enough hours in a day to do everything you need to do as a healthcare worker. From patient care to billing, emails to social media, trying to do it all can be overwhelming. The more pressure that is put on healthcare workers, the more opportunities for common mistakes and the less time spent on patients. However, mistakes can be lethal in the healthcare industry, and there is no room for error.

Hiring a Virtual Latinos virtual assistant can be a lifesaver, both literally and figuratively, in the healthcare field. With assistants based everywhere from Venezuela to Argentina, hiring someone right for you is easy. Though patient care is always the top priority, small details easily slip through the cracks when you have mountains of paperwork to fill out and emails to send. Having someone pick up the slack can help immensely with the overall workload and stress and free you up for better care and time with your family. Consider hiring a medical virtual assistant to aid you in non-confidential menial tasks and give you extra time to focus on your patients.

What Can a Virtual Assistant Do in Healthcare?

In general, virtual assistants can help with a myriad of office tasks, from running social media accounts to answering client emails. Despite HIPAA laws, many daily tasks can still be delegated to a virtual assistant while remaining confidential. Especially during a pandemic, many jobs can be safely and securely done remotely, without sacrificing the integrity or operation of your healthcare business. A virtual assistant in healthcare can:

  • Patient onboarding
  • Schedule appointments and calendar management
  • Interpreting and live translation
  • Transcribe physician notes
  • Organize files and notes
  • Respond to email requests
  • Organize insurance claims and requests
  • Create and post your practice’s social media and online content

By keeping these “busy work” tasks out of your way, a virtual healthcare assistant allows you to forget about day-to-day items and focus on patient care.

How Do Virtual Assistants Help Patients?

Hiring online virtual assistant services may seem unrelated to a patient’s experience when, in reality, it has everything to do with patient care. No matter how you choose to use your virtual assistant, he or she is directly related to the amount of attention your patients receive. If you choose to task your virtual assistant with scheduling or emails, your clients may be working directly with your assistant with basic questions or concerns. The most profound impact a virtual assistant can have on a patient, however, comes from freeing doctors and nurses to spend more time on patient care. According to a study done by ICFAI, staff performance, communication, and face-to-face physician time greatly affect most patients’ level of satisfaction with their healthcare experience. Having busywork covered by a virtual assistant means that:

  • Patient communication is faster and more personalized.
  • Staff is freed to give more attention to HIPAA confidential tasks.
  • More time may be spent on patient care and questions.

Because all these aspects have been proven to greatly impact patient satisfaction, focusing on them rather than busywork should result in peace of mind for patients.

How to Prepare Your Business to Hire a Virtual Assistant

Tips & How To's

What To Know Ahead of Hiring a Virtual Assistant

Is your business rapidly growing and requiring more of your time and effort? Do you catch yourself wishing you could find a qualified professional to assist you in everyday tasks? The best decision you can make for your business is to hire a virtual personal assistant. Virtual assistants perform a wide range of duties in a number of essential areas such as business administration, customer service, and marketing, freeing up your time and allowing you to concentrate fully on the important aspects of your business that only you can handle.

To find the best virtual assistant for your business, partner with the right company. At Virtual Latinos, one of the top virtual assistant services, we maintain a staff of talented, experienced professionals with an extensive range of skills and knowledge valuable in a number of industries. Our motivated, hardworking virtual assistants allow you to delegate responsibilities with the assurance that they will meet your standards. Consider the following advice on how to prepare when hiring a virtual assistant, then contact us to choose the best virtual assistant for you!

Determine Your Budget and Your Needs

The first step to take when you want to find a virtual assistant for hire for your business is to determine your budget and needs. Many variables come into play when deciding how much to pay a virtual assistant. Generally, more experienced virtual assistants and certified marketing virtual assistants will cost more than less experienced VA’s or non-certified marketing VA’s.

Compared to virtual assistants in the US, hiring virtual personal assistants from Virtual Latinos is 40-75% less expensive. We offer two methods of finding a virtual assistant – hiring assistants through our Agency program tends to cost a few more dollars per hour than hiring specific virtual assistants from our Directory. However, hiring through the agency offers more support from our professionals, resulting in less work for the business owner. Consider allowing our professional team to find the perfect assistant for your needs. Check out the Virtual Latinos post on how much you can expect to pay a virtual assistant to get an idea of how much to pay for hourly work through both methods, saving you even more.

When examining your budget, be sure to consider the value of the work a virtual admin assistant will be doing against the cost of employing them. You do this by determining your specific needs and calculating the value provided by the virtual assistant in terms of time and effort, as well as finances. To determine your needs, spend at least three days of your work week documenting every single task you complete. Whether it’s emailing clients, posting on social media, or updating bookkeeping, keep track of everything. Then divide this list into four distinct categories:

  1. Tasks you don’t have time to do.
  2. Tasks you don’t want to do.
  3. Tasks you don’t know how to do.
  4. Tasks that only you can do.

Ideally, you should only have to focus on the fourth category. Inspect this list to see which tasks would benefit from the help of a virtual personal assistant. Consider which ones you could fairly easily teach another person and expect satisfactory results.

Next, determine the value of these tasks by comparing them with a reasonable benchmark. Any recurring tasks, occurring daily, weekly, or monthly, that comprise, for example, less than $30 an hour can be outsourced by hiring a virtual assistant. Spending your precious time on mundane, less valuable tasks that you can outsource means spending less time on the tasks that can help you earn substantially more money.

Define Responsibilities and Expectations

Now that you know which tasks can be outsourced by hiring a virtual assistant, narrow down and prioritize them. This ensures you focus on the most productive tasks and leave things you can outsource to a qualified professional. Instead of spending hours every day checking your email or updating invoices, you can take time to meet new clients or strengthen your relationships with existing clients. This list of tasks can create a job description that you will use when you are ready to find the best virtual assistant for you.

Just as important as hiring a virtual assistant with the ability to complete job responsibilities is hiring someone who lives up to your professional expectations. You are putting part of your business in their hands, so you must choose someone with integrity and passion as well as proficiency. The employees in our top virtual assistant company are carefully selected from a wide pool of applicants, with only around 10% of applicants accepted into the Virtual Latinos community.

As you define these responsibilities, be prepared to have an onboarding process in place. Our unique assistants are highly skilled, but they don’t know the ins and outs of your business- yet! To ensure success with a virtual assistant, have a process in place to train and introduce your outsourced virtual assistant to your company’s processes and tools.

Choose the Right Company – Hire a Virtual Assistant from Virtual Latinos

For the best results, make sure you choose one of the top virtual assistant companies. The selectivity of Virtual Latinos is apparent when you consider the qualifications of our team. Ninety percent of our assistants hold a full year college degree, and all possess verbal and written proficiency in both English and Spanish. Many clients come to us for a bilingual spanish virtual assistant. We focus on marketing virtual assistants or those in other business-related fields. We also offer virtual assistants to cover several industries, including:

  • Property management
  • Real estate
  • Technology and software
  • Entrepreneurs

Expert Tips for Avoiding a Hiring Process Failure

Tips & How To's

The hiring process you implement in your organization has a dramatic impact on your future growth and success. Hiring is more expensive and time-consuming than most business owners realize, and without a streamlined hiring process, you could be spending much more than you should on hiring new employees.

Virtual Latinos is one of the top virtual assistant companies operating in the Americas. We understand the pain points facing modern business owners working across multiple international markets. We have streamlined our processes to ensure our clients can hire virtual assistants who can meet their needs and enhance their operations.

Why Is the Hiring Process So Crucial?

Hiring and onboarding new employees for your company is a more complicated process than you might expect. First, it’s essential to advertise your open positions effectively to attract top candidates. Second, you must have an internal human resources system ready to handle the application review process, candidate assessments, and interviews. Third, you must have a solid interview system in place and a firm understanding of the qualifications a candidate must possess to reliably fill an open position.

Virtual Latinos offers an alternative to the typical demands of hiring and onboarding, providing top virtual assistant services to companies of all types thanks to the matchmaking process we have developed. The virtual assistant services we provide are particularly useful to American companies attempting to break into Central and South American markets like Mexico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, and Colombia.

Why Virtual Latinos’ Virtual Assistants Are Ideal Choices

One of the most difficult aspects of hiring for any company is matching your open positions with the best applicants. Virtual Latinos will start your hiring process by providing a list of the best virtual assistants with the skills and experience to meet your needs. We pride ourselves on providing quality candidates, not on speed or quantity.

Streamline the Onboarding of Your Virtual Assistants

Instead of attempting to navigate a sea of job applications and investing the time into evaluating each candidate and arranging interviews, Virtual Latinos can narrow your pool of potential virtual assistants to the best possible choices. We take the time to get to know our clients to provide more accurate results in this first phase, and most of our clients wind up with virtual assistants who work for them for quite a long time.

Narrowing Your Hiring Pool Effectively

We begin our matchmaking process by assessing your needs as a client. We have virtual assistants with both part-time and full-time availability, and this is one of the first criteria we evaluate when placing potential virtual assistants with your company. Our virtual assistants are fully trained to clarify assignments, work closely with their client employers, and learn their new job duties as quickly as possible once they have accepted a position. While it’s easy for some employers to have reservations about productivity and working remotely, dedicated virtual assistants from Virtual Latinos know how to deliver on their job responsibilities while supporting your company from home.

Evaluating Candidate Experience and Skill

Virtual Latinos has become one of the top virtual assistant companies because of the quality of the virtual assistants we provide to our clients. We will determine the skill level required for your open positions and help you hire a virtual assistant who can deliver on your expectations.

Making Obligatory Training More Effective

One of the most common issues many employers have with new hires, both onboarded and contracted alike, is the time required for a new employee to complete job training and learn the employer’s systems. Part of our matchmaking process involves skill and experience assessment for every virtual assistant that can potentially meet a client’s needs. All our virtual assistants are accustomed to challenging jobs and changes, and we work closely with clients to ensure the initial training processes proceed as smoothly as possible. You can expect your new virtual assistant to be diligent as they complete training and onboarding, and we can address any issues that arise, as necessary.

Maintaining Clear Communication

Communication is the cornerstone of any healthy and productive work relationship. Good communication systems can also help smooth over common conflicts between virtual assistants and the companies that employ them. Virtual Latinos believes in clear communication between our clients, our management team, and our virtual assistants. Working remotely can be isolating, but we have cultivated an open, professional community that thrives on transparency and trust.

Take the Stress Out of Hiring With Virtual Latinos

Many of the clients who come to Virtual Latinos for virtual assistant services have never worked with virtual assistants or remote employees before, and this transition often comes with some light pain points. Virtual Latinos Country Highlight: El Salvador

Find Your Ideal Virtual Admin Assistant in El Salvador

El Salvador is a tropical, mountainous country in Central America, situated between Guatemala and Honduras. It is home to diverse topography and landscapes, each with its own unique specialties and resources. While surfers flock to the southern coastline, the central plateaus are devoted to farming and the mountains to growing coffee.

A long history of geographical and cultural turmoil, combined with a fiercely warm and loyal nature, have helped shape a generation of young professionals who are diligent, resilient, and well-equipped to overcome challenges and find creative solutions to problems. Salvadorans’ virtual assistants are fully bilingual in both English and Spanish and are committed to fostering an efficient and friendly working relationship with clients. Hiring a virtual assistant from El Salvador could help you transition your business to a more culturally diverse environment.

Why Do Skilled Salvadoran Professionals Want to Work Offshore?

Whether you are looking to hire a virtual admin assistant or a marketing virtual assistant, Salvadorans are invested in this type of work for a variety of reasons.

Opportunities for Professional Growth and Cultural Exchange

Virtual assistants from El Salvador value the knowledge and skills exchanged between them and their US clients. Salvadoran virtual assistants enjoy having the opportunity to learn and adapt to a new culture and expectations. “Well, it is always a bit difficult to adapt to the culture of another country, but in general, I feel that just as I am helping them in their projects every day, they help me to grow as a professional.” Says Luis Vides, a virtual assistant from El Salvador. Vides enjoys the opportunity to learn how business is conducted in the US and adjust to new standards. “Sarah and Terry are excellent bosses. They are there to correct or teach you always in a professional and very educated way, and that is very different from how things work in my country,” says Vides.

Work-Life Balance and Sense of Independence

Working remotely offers virtual assistants the opportunity to have a flexible schedule and to work from home without diminishing their sense of personal responsibility and achievement. Peter Ayala says he enjoys working as a virtual assistant because “I feel I’m my own boss! I’m the one responsible for things to be done, and the responsibility is the same as if I was at a local work from my country.”

Opportunity to Have a Positive Impact

Salvadoran’s are not only hard-working and adaptable. They are also intensely loyal and derive satisfaction from helping your business succeed. VA Peter Ayala says that one of the best things about his work is knowing that he has positively impacted his client’s business. He says, “…my work has a real impact over my client’s business, and if they are happy with the results, I feel at ease that a good job was provided! The best part of working as a virtual assistant is that you can support clients in different areas. When you manage to have a very good relationship with the client, you can help them to improve the internal processes of the company or business,” says Vides.

Why Should You Hire a Virtual Assistant From El Salvador?

Making the move to hire a virtual assistant can benefit you or your company in many ways. VAs from El Salvador are skilled in:

  • Managing Social Media and Social Media Marketing
  • Branding and Graphic Design
  • General Digital Marketing
  • Customer Support
  • Sales & Customer Reps
  • General Administrative Tasks
  • Managing Email and Automation
  • Blogging and Writing in Spanish and English
  • Web Design

Our VAs from El Salvador have an eye for detail and take pride in delivering great work. Alex Bass / Andra Vomir explain that their virtual assistant is “… detail oriented, emotive and really careful, attentive to make sure he’s doing everything correctly, very cautious in the right way, meaning that if he’s going to be diving into something he’s not actually very sure of, he’ll be careful enough to ask for clarification before so he has everything clear about what he’s going to do.”

Terry Berglund has used multiple virtual assistants from Virtual Latinos, and described the team as being “kind and cooperative”, and “good, useful, and interesting”. Terry stated that “It has been a good experience and the VAs hired are doing ok.”

How to Improve Your Online Presence by Hiring a Virtual Assistant

Hiring

We live in an extremely fast-paced society, where companies and businesses are expected to respond to current events and user-generated content within minutes. Online posts are often greatly delayed, giving the impression that those responsible for said content are entirely disconnected from their target base. However, monitoring various social media platforms and creating dynamic, engaging content is an extremely resource-intensive task, especially for small businesses with other priorities.

Hiring a virtual assistant from Virtual Latinos can be the perfect solution. They offer high-quality work and unique skills necessary to successfully maintain a vibrant online presence, which in turn frees up you and any other staff members to focus on the bigger picture. Working with our virtual assistants is also extremely affordable, allowing you to enjoy the benefits without overextending your budget.

Why Is a Strong Online Presence Important for Business Owners?

In an increasingly global society, establishing an online presence is an essential part of running a successful business. The high volume of online traffic means that promotional efforts online are often far more effective than in-person strategies. Online platforms also present you with a unique opportunity to build relationships with your clients. Over the past several years, brands that have made themselves more personable online have seen tremendous success in increasing their customer bases. By responding to trending topics and interacting with user-generated content, they appear more human and, as such, more trustworthy to potential consumers, improving people’s perception of your brand in a powerful way.

However, you must handle your online presence with care. Marketing mishaps online can often have long-lasting repercussions. If you’re going to make yourself available on the Internet, people will expect you to be fully available. Failing to be responsive, attentive, and consistent in creating additional content can easily lead to a lack of confidence from users, making them less likely to work with your brand in the future.

What Kinds of Tasks Can a Virtual Assistant Handle?

The primary purpose of adding a dedicated virtual assistant to your team is to improve your business by allocating your resources more efficiently. While the virtual assistant takes care of your online platforms, you can focus on expanding your business, developing new products, and building new partnerships. This arrangement works because virtual assistants are armed with the tools to accomplish what you need from them without constant monitoring or hand-holding. Top virtual assistant services encompass a wide variety of tasks to help make your life easier. These include:

  • Creating social media accounts and profiles
  • Researching the interests and preferences of your target audience
  • Generating regularly scheduled content
  • Addressing user-generated questions or comments
  • Revising existing content to ensure it remains relevant
  • Monitoring external content that references your brand
  • Tracking the results of your online efforts and help you adjust your social media strategy accordingly

Where to Find Affordable Virtual Assistants

Virtual assistants are an incredible resource, but not all virtual assistants are the same. At Virtual Latinos, we pride ourselves on providing our clients with the premier team of assistants available. Our staff has personally vetted every member of the team via a detailed system that looks at each individual’s education, work experience, and digital marketing skills. In addition to being highly qualified, the fact that our virtual assistants work remotely from Latin America offers unique benefits. All our assistants are fully bilingual, meaning that they can handle all the usual demands of your business while giving you increased access to any feedback from your Spanish-speaking customers.

Hailing from Mexico, Honduras, Colombia, and several other Latin American countries, our assistants can earn a comfortable income in their local currency while remaining extremely affordable to US employers. They are 40% to 75% less expensive to hire than virtual assistants in the US. Depending on your needs, you can hire a virtual assistant for as little as $5 per hour. This arrangement is so beneficial to both parties that becoming a virtual assistant with Virtual Latinos is a highly sought-after position. Furthermore, despite the distance, virtual assistants from Virtual Latinos work in the same time-zones as US employers, so they will always be available when you need them most.

If you’re prepared to make a splash on the digital stage and revitalize your online presence, look no further than hiring a virtual assistant from Virtual Latinos. Our assistants will work diligently alongside you to help develop a winning social media strategy to promote your brand successfully. Invest in yourself by investing in a virtual assistant and contact Virtual Latinos today to get started.

Client Highlight: Q&A with Productivity Expert Marcey Rader

Tips & How To's

We’re happy to start this new series of questions and answers with some of our Virtual Latinos Clients. For our first guest, we got the honor and privilege to chat with Marcey Rader from Raleigh, North Carolina, founder of Work Well. Play More! Marcey shares some of her wisdom on being able to reach and live a productive, clutter-free, healthy lifestyle, as well as tips on how to help other business owners and entrepreneurs to grow their businesses

Q&As:

  1. Please share a brief description of your business, how you got started, and why you chose it?
I own a productivity and health coaching and speaking company. Before starting my business seven years ago, I worked in pharma/biotech clinical research for fourteen years and was a corporate trainer and training manager. People were always asking me how I did it all – work, ultra-race, have a relationship and shut down with inbox zero every night. It made sense to do what came naturally!
  2. What types of businesses or people do you work with?
Many of my clients are in the pharma/biotech space, but I’ve worked from manufacturing to finance, from North Dakota to Dubai. People in all businesses want boundaries, better focus, and healthy behaviors in their lives. I work with small business owners as well as corporate professionals, typically manager level and above.
  1. What are the top 3 keys to your business success?
I surround myself with key people. When I was starting, I thought I couldn’ afford a virtual assistant. I firmly believe that because I hired one early on, I am much farther along than other people that started at the same time. It allows me to focus on the big picture. I’m also very persistent, but not in a pushy way. I have systems for follow-up that work well for me. Lastly, I take time for myself. As much as I love what I do, I know that the creative part comes from being away from the business.
  2. Who would you consider your key team members or key roles for your business success? (Marketing, Sales Specialist, Admin, Cold-callers, etc?)
My full-time virtual assistant has been with me for five years. She does all of my website, marketing materials, and administrative tasks. I know how to do these things on my own, but they are not an effective use of my time. I recently hired a concierge for client-facing activities. A concierge means my clients receive an even higher level of service, and I can focus more on coaching and speaking than program logistics.
  3. What unique value propositions do you offer your clients?
We declutter the mind, body, and business one habit at a time.
  4. How do you measure your business success, and how do you try to improve it?
My client’s success is our success. I have a strong track record of promotions, business growth, and health improvements with all of my clients. I also have eight Specialists on my team, all of whom own their own business. Being able to give them work means I’ve been successful. And of course, there is always revenue. Tangible success is also paying all your bills and having plenty of money to sock away and even play!
  5. If you could go back in time 10 or 20 years, what would be the #1 tip of advice you’d give yourself?
At 36, I was starting to hit a low point where my job was killing me, I had gone into early menopause from a high-intensity, high-stress lifestyle, and my marriage was suffering. I was the primary breadwinner and thought there was no way I could leave my job behind. I would tell myself to walk away. Your health and marriage is a priority. You’ll find a way to make money, and you’ll be happier doing it. It won’t be easy, but you’ll be more fulfilled in your life.
  6. What’s the #1 tip you’d give other entrepreneurs or business owners looking to grow their business?
Hire a virtual assistant! Don’t wait another day.
  7. Would you recommend others to hire a virtual assistant (VA)? and if so why?
I recommend it several times a week. I am a strong advocate of working in your line of genius and giving others opportunities they may not have. That’s why I like working with Virtual Latinos, because I know I am giving someone work in a country that isn’t as economically strong as the US.
  8. What are the best tools and systems you recommend for working with a VA?
I like Asana for project management, Google Chat for instant message, and Voxer for voice and text messaging.
  9. Do you have any tips or advice for anyone who’s starting to work with a VA for the first time?
Start capturing video screen shares of all the tasks you are doing to handoff. The video makes the training more accessible, and since you are doing it anyway, it doesn’t take up much more time.
  10. What do you think about the future of businesses in regards to hiring VAs as part of their team?
I don’t like the term virtual assistant because it’s underwhelming. They are so much more than assistants. I think COVID-19 has put to rest the fear of hiring people remotely because so many people had to go remote. It doesn’t matter if they are down the street or a time zone away! Anyone can hire and feel confident with a virtual assistant.
