We’re looking to hire 1 VA in the next 8 days through this job that the Virtual Latinos Agency is publishing on behalf of an existing client of ours.
Client & Short Job Description:
The client is a software engineer (programmer) living in Northern California, and is looking for a personal virtual assistant who can help him in his personal life to manage a list of various tasks he needs help with. The client is easily distracted and often moves on to new ideas before finishing a plan. He has a wide range of hobbies and interests but has a hard time keeping track of things and following through. He’s looking for an assistant who would help keep track of things and delegate some tasks. All the tasks would be for his personal life, none of them are for business-related activities.
The client is ideally looking for VAs who is friendly, great at managing task and time and is very organized. See more “Ideal qualifications” below.

Tasks required for the job
1. Projects Management & Calendar Management
– Client has a big list of things he’d like to do, but needs help prioritizing them and choosing the most important ones to focus on.
– Looking for a VA who knows how to manage time very efficiently
– The VA would help review the list of tasks, and then help the client choose a time and day to put/add to his calendar so he can work on it.
– Includes checking the client’s calendar, seeing availability and coordination with him
– Client uses Google Calendar, so needs a VA who knows how to use
– Client has used Trello, but open to using other project management systems
2. Follow-up on Tasks
– The VA must follow up with the client to make sure he completed the tasks they agreed he should complete
– Make sure he’s on time to meet his own personal deadlines
– In general, the VA must manage the client’s list of personal tasks and be “on top of things” to make sure they get done
3. General Online Research
– Contacting local businesses to find more about various companies, services, pricing on products, etc. Contact by phone or email.
– Call local business to do research about products/pricing
– Do general online research of various types of info.
– Getting quotes from different companies.
– Researchings delivery times, and coordinating deliveries for the client
– Example 1: The client wants to take an Art class, so the VA would need to research Art classes in the local area, review the client’s calendar, and help with managing things.
– Example 2: Helping with buying a furniture piece for the client’s house, etc.
– Other general admin tasks
Required qualifications:
– A person who is VERY proactive, and is always looking to help the client
– The client needs someone super trustworthy and supportive, and who shows they really care to help the client
– The VA should be professional, respectful and friendly but MUST always be sure to “follow-up” on client, to make sure he gets tasks/stuff done on time.
– Need a VA who has initiative, and is a self-starter
– Only interested in VAs looking for a job that’s 6+ months (long term).
Ideal qualifications (Not required):
– Ideally, a person who is curious, motivated and interested in learning art, technology and music, so he/she can better help the client with his personal tasks.
– The client needs someone super trustworthy and supportive, and who shows they really care to help the client
– Someone who is very detailed oriented.
– Knows how to manage projects and various tasks, ideally using a project management system online such as Asana, Trello, etc.
Work Details:
-Schedule: Monday to Friday – Flexible, but usually before and after the client’s full-time job in California. So the job would be either 7-10 AM OR 5-7 PM (California Pacific time)
-Hours required: 10 hours per week (Part-time), with the potential to be 15-20 hours/week.
