We’re looking to hire 1 VA through this job that the Virtual Latinos Agency is publishing on behalf of an existing client.
Client & Short Job Description:
The client has owned an immigration law firm in Boston, Massachusetts, for eight years now. Her primary clients are Spanish-speaking, some Portuguese-speaking, but mainly Spanish-speaking, and recent immigrants. They concentrate primarily on family petitions and family-based immigration, but also deportation defense. They currently are a team of 18 who come to the office in person, and they also have a remote team with four virtual people.
Have self-motivation rather than experience.; Experience in social media or as a community manager/FB group moderator, etc.; Online marketing experience (Email Marketing, Ads, etc).

Tasks required for the job
Primary Tasks
1. Content Creation (Mid to Expert Level)
– Create content for the client social media on FB, IG and keep Whatsapp active sharing stories
– Mostly images created on Canva
– They need someone comfortable creating written content in Spanish and English
– Create blog posts on WordPress or similar sites
– Create resources on marketing topics
– Create short message templates, to reply to people on LinkedIn interested in chatting and/or have questions
– Edit the blog’s HTML code
– Embed YouTube videos (with code) inside blog posts
– Help with the blog’s editorial calendar
– Participate in discussions with the client to refine their content strategy
– Research content, topics, and information to create relevant content
– Translate documents from English to Spanish or vice-versa
– Use hashtags, images, and mentions effectively in Social Media
– Use high-level professional English business language to communicate with people on LinkedIn
– Write email templates and other email-related content creation
– Write content for social media posts
– Write SEO meta titles, meta descriptions (using Yoast SEO or similar)
2. Social Media Management (Basic to Mid Level)
– The VA will be in charge of engaging with the clients
– The VA doesn’t have to give any legal answers to the clients asking via social media, they will be sharing a copy/paste template
– Create a social media calendar to post X times a week
– Create monthly reports for social media activity and engagement, and provide insights and recommendations on how to improve things
– Help with managing Linkedin
– Help with social media content organization, scheduling & management
– Manage Facebook, Instagram, Google My Business, and Craigslist client accounts
– Monitor organic posting and curate other’s content
– Monitor & respond to messages/inbox on any social media channel
– Perform social media outreach to get leads. Use Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc
– Publish posts on different social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Linkedin, etc).
– Review social media metrics, like Facebook Insights
– Use Hootsuite, or Buffer to schedule social media posts
– Use YouTube to upload videos, write titles, and descriptions.
– Video optimization for social media, adding SEO data for YouTube
3. Basic Graphic Design (Basic Level)
– Canva (someone who knows how to use the platform and can use Canva to create great basic graphics)
– Adobe knowledge would be preferable but not mandatory
– Create graphics in Canva.com to post on social media accounts
– Create simple brochures and flyers with graphics to use for social media posts
– Powerpoint presentations
– Create digital mood boards
– Basic Video editing skills and subtitles adding
– Does NOT include using professional graphic design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.
*In your proposal, please make sure to include a shareable link to a Google Drive folder, where you include some of your graphic creations.
4. Marketing Research (Basic Level)
– Looking up for what other firms are doing
– Looking for trends within the law firms, area, so just some benchmarking to research what other firms are posting and is working
– Research for events where the client can attend or host
– Research on Google to find new prospects and build lists of leads with email addresses, etc.
– Research what other companies are doing to learn from them
– Perform general market research
– Research and Sign up for affiliate programs
Secondary Tasks (For the future, but MUST be included in your proposal)
5. Digital Advertising – Facebook Ads
– Basic knowledge, no need for them to be experts, this may be a task for the future.
– Create Instagram and/or Facebook Ad campaigns using Facebook Business Manager
Monitor Facebook Ad campaigns
– Set-up campaigns, create audiences, ads, graphics, and text for Facebook Ad campaigns
Write great content in English for Ad campaigns
– Create Instagram and/or Facebook Ad campaigns using Facebook Business Manager
– Monitor Facebook Ad campaigns
– Set-up campaigns, create audiences, ads, graphics, and text for Facebook Ad campaigns
– Review social media metrics, like Facebook Insights
– Run estimates of audience size for Facebook ads
– Write great content in English for Ad campaigns
6. Email Marketing & Automation
– This is something the client wants to try in the future
– Be up-to-date with email marketing strategies, best formats/layout/language to use in today’s modern email marketing
– Build and design email templates for newsletters
– Build nurturing campaigns in Mailchimp, ConstantContact, ActiveCampaign, or similar.
– Create an email marketing calendar for monthly campaigns
– Create email drip campaigns (auto-responders), which includes multiple emails per campaign
– Copy/paste, and integrate company brochures and flyers into the email system
– Do internal email marketing, to promote the agency’s marketing services
– Manage MailChimp lists and campaigns or any other email marketing platform
– Organize multiple client’s customers’ accounts
– Perform quarterly follow-ups using CRM email templates
– If necessary, proofread emails written in Spanish to avoid any spelling/grammar errors
– Send email newsletters to the client database
– Send emails to prospective clients, via drip campaigns or one-on-one emails
– Set up email marketing automation funnels
– Share content by email including customer success stories, industry trends/news, product updates, etc.
– Understand analytics such as open rates, click rates, etc and suggest things to be improved upon to get better results
– Use Gmail/Yahoo or other tools to be able to prepare and send messages
– Use CRM to set up all email and text campaigns
7. Basic Video Editing (Basic Level)
– Crop video footage using basic video editing software
– Add a simple intro/outro into videos
– Add music or background audio to videos
– Creating simple videos using software such as Canva
– Upload videos to social media or different platforms such as YouTube or Vimeo
– Organize video content into folders using Google Drive or similar

Ideal Requirements
A) Communication & Language
Excellent written English and Spanish skills. Must be able to draft and send emails and messages to clients.; Have great “emotional intelligence”, who can understand each customer’s situation.
B) Creativity & Proactiveness
Self-starter, proactive and innovative.; Should be “coachable”, willing to learn new skills, and can follow directions.; Someone who can work independently, resourceful to find things on their own.; Quick learner, willing to learn new things, and able to pick up issues/problems fast.; Take ownership, have a great attitude to get things done.
C) People & Relationship
Supportive, and always be willing to help.; Must be able to separate “Business from emotions” as clients can get very passionate, and it’s important for the VA to remember that in the end, it’s just work.; Someone that is open to feedback without being offended, willing to make mistakes, and be ok when the company tells them how to improve.; Someone very patient, who could calm and make other people feel at ease under stressful situations.
D) Work Load & Stress Management
Project management experience, good at setting timelines, deadlines and fulfilling expectations.; Able to manage stressful situations without affecting them on a personal level.; Able to get things done, and have a positive attitude to do things.; Must be extremely organized and detail-oriented.; Comfortable with a fast-paced and changing environment.
E) Technology & Software
Knowledge or willingness to invest time in training themselves on the different platforms of the business.; Have a graphic design background. Able to create graphics, or use Canva/templates.; Video editing background, edit/cut videos to convert into simple clips, and/or add audio files into the videos.
Work Details:
– Schedule: Flexible 3hrs/day M-F within 9-5 EST ideally after 1 pm EST
– Hours: 15 hours/week
